I’m Alex Mitchell, a human living her lived experience, making mistakes, growing and changing through the years.
At various times in my life, I was depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, stressed and a pro, with a capital P, at procrastination.
But no longer.
I waved a magic wand and it all went away one day!(Just kidding, of course.)
And the words I use to describe myself today?
They’re now happy, confident, focused, expansive, successful, lovely, beautiful, insightful, and articulate.
I made lasting changes that improved my life dramatically using the same techniques backed by neuroscience that I now use in my coaching of the conscious and unconscious mind.
I believe that change is available to all of us.
If you could change something today, what would it be?
Perhaps you would write your book. Maybe you would leave your job. Ask for a raise.
Build an exercise habit that is fun and sustainable. Stop cravings.
Fall asleep quickly and sleep through the night, waking rested and refreshed, without fail.
Imagine doing what you want to do, feeling the way you want to feel, being who you want to be. With ease.
I’m an integrative life coach on my own growth journey.
I used to identify as anxious, depressed, stressed, overworked, but through change work, those labels are no longer who I am.
Who do you want to be?
I care about you, your goals and dreams. I care about how you take care of yourself, view yourself and how you are in the world.
I’m here to be a guide, support, sounding board and to ask hard questions. Through all of that, I view you with unconditional positive regard.
I help my clients:
Gain clarity
Explore possibilities
Set goals and attain them
Make lasting change
As an integrative life coach, I base my practice in hypnosis techniques that are backed by scientific research. We know that they work.
Change cultivated this way is lasting. It’s rewiring your brain with the change that you want to embrace.

I’m in my middle essence.
What does that mean? It means I’m a badass 56-year old, with a lived experience that I bring to our sessions.
I’m a boy mom.
My son is nearing the teenage years. That’s exciting to imagine. I can’t wait to witness his growth and change as he leaves young childhood behind. Kids, step-kids, blended families — all are a part of my experience.
I’m a dog mom.
At various points, I’ve also been a cat mom. Currently, I have two dogs. They are part of our family. Roxy and Lucky show up on my Instagram from time-to-time, so you can check them out there. And you can follow @roxygoldenseattle to keep up with her adventures.
I’m a partner.
I’ve been married to my partner for over twenty years. He laughs at me because I can’t recall the exact number of years. However, I do know our anniversary date. Relationships are fun and work and compromise. I bring this experience to our sessions.
I’m pro plant medicine.
There is no stigma or judgment from me if you have a relationship with plant medicine. I have a relationship with various kinds of plant medicine. If you want to know more, please ask.
I’m a lifelong learner.
I’ve studied and read, taken trainings and certifications, had experiences and explored in my life. I love learning new things. I love technology. I love travel and learning about cultures other than my own. My latest adventure was to add hypnosis to my toolbox. I certified as an Integrative Hypnotist earlier in 2023. I bring all of this experience to our sessions. I also look forward to learning from you.
I live in Seattle.
I moved to the Pacific Northwest over twenty years ago. It is home for now and I love it, but I can feel change stirring. One chapter of our lives will come to a close when my son finishes high school, so who knows where we’ll be after that. Maybe somewhere with more sun.
I used to have corporate and nonprofit jobs.
I worked in the technology space for 25 years as a producer, project manager, account executive and more. I shifted to nonprofit work and was the operations director for a midsize nonprofit. Then I wanted change and decided to become a health coach and then a life coach. I bring all of this lived experience to our sessions.
I work virtually.
I’ve actually worked virtually since 2008, first as the homepage producer for MSN on the New York shift while at my home in Seattle, then on to other tech positions and nonprofit work. I am accustomed to and adept at communicating over the Internet. Zoom sessions are normal for me, and have been for a very long time.
